Terms and conditions

Tours can be customized more you needs and where weather conditions or forces of nature restrict or prohibit tour activities, we reserve the right to alter the tour program and substitute alternative activities. All tours include - Personal Tour guide and Driver, transport, fuel, pick-up and drop-off. Christchurch Area) 

Extras to allow for (unless specified in a package): Your accommodation and meals. Admission fees to attractions, other travel arrangements and optional activities, personal travel insurance, personal spending

Reservations and Payment
Once you have placed a reservation we will process this and send you a confirmation form to fill in. This confirmation will detail the price, what is included in the price, the deposit required and when final payment is due.
Your booking may be cancelled if the deposit or final payment is not received by the due date.

Deposit
a deposit is required to confirm your travel; generally this is a minimum of 35% of the total booking amount. However some bookings may require a larger deposit. Your confirmation will tell you of the deposit required and when final payment is due.

Final Payment
Full payment is normally due 30 days before the first itinerary date. However in some cases full payment is required earlier. Your confirmation advice will tell you of the deposit required and when final payment is due. Generally if the booking is made within 30 days of the first itinerary date then full payment will normally be required immediately.

Prices
All prices are displayed in New Zealand dollars and include New Zealand Government Good and Services Tax (GST), currently 15. %. Currency equivalent amounts are provided for information purposes only. All prices shown are an indication only and final prices will be confirmed to you in answer to your inquiry. A charge of 2% will be added for all credit card transactions. The amount charged to your credit card will be at the Bank exchange rate on the day and 'Phototours New Zealand,' does not accept responsibility for any change in prices or variation of services as shown due to exchange rate fluctuations. All services and prices are subject to change without notice; prices are valid for the dates indicated

Once your reservation has been confirmed, unless shown differently on your reservation conformation, it is necessary to make payment at least 90 days prior to the tour commencement date. Payment for the tour deposit may be made by Visa or MasterCard credit/ cash deposit, internet banking or International Money Transfer. Payment for the balance of the tour fee may be made by Visa, MasterCard, cash, internet banking, International Money Transfer, A charge of 2% will be added for all credit card transactions. We regret that personal or bank cheque is not accepted.  

Cancellation policy:

 up to 60days prior to booking date full refund less administration Fee of $25 or 20% ,whichever is greater..

Phototours NZ Reserves the right to cancel Tours one month prior to its commencement if numbers are insufficient or due to unforeseen circumstances.

INSURANCE
We strongly recommend all participants purchase travel protection insurance as no insurance is included in the tour fee. It is essential that this insurance covers you for involuntary cancellation of your holiday including airfares.                                                                  

  Health Requirements
 Photography Tours are designed to be suitable for people of all ages in good health and moderate fitness. While activities are not strenuous, on some tours we will be taking hikes for several miles on tracks in wilderness areas, including alpine regions, which involve uphill walks and uneven ground. It will be necessary to carry your own camera equipment, extra clothing, food and water for these activities. Should you have any concerns about your own capabilities and/or fitness in relation to a particular tour, please contact us to discuss this before sending your reservation form. You are required to disclose any medical or physical condition that you have which could create a risk for you or any other tour participants. We reserve the right to request a doctor's statement of good health. We reserve the right to decline participation on any tour activity where an individual's health and physical condition is deemed to be unsuitable for the activity undertaken. Once a tour space has been confirmed, medical circumstances will not be considered as exceptions to our cancellation policy. We assume no responsibility for medical care nor guarantee to meet any special dietary requirements                                                                 

Liability                                                                                                                                                We will not be liable for injury, damage or any costs incurred by visitors 'Phototours New Zealand' will not be liable for personal injury or property damage resulting from acts, omissions or negligence whatsoever of Phototours New Zealand or any operator including, but not limited to, any liability arising from delayed departure, missed carrier connections, substitutions of accommodations or of common carrier equipment, termination of service, changes in fares and rates, cancellation or double bookings of reservations or tickets or the failure of any operator Phototours NZ  will not be responsible for any negligent or willful act or failure to act of any supplier or of any third party. By utilizing the travel services of the suppliers, you agree that you will look to such suppliers for any accident, injury, property damage, or personal loss to you or to those traveling with you and that Phototours NZ shall not be liable.

Force Majeure
Compensation will not be payable if we need to cancel or change your travel arrangements in any way for reasons of war, threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions or other circumstances amounting to force Majeure Where weather conditions or forces of nature restrict or prohibit tour activities, Phototours NZ or its guides reserves the right to alter the tour program and substitute alternative activities.
